the dress dilemma

So, my mom officially hates the sample dress I bought.  We went to look at other dresses, and I have to say, there are a number of other dresses out there that are better suited to me.  So, eventually the original dress will go up on OnceWed or eBay or some such site and hopefully I'll get something for it.

In the meantime I really have to figure out what kind of wedding dress I want - the traditional pouffy princess or the less popular, more modern "goddess" dress.  It comes down to this, one of my alter egos is definitely a Princess, and I want a princess dress!  Really, as a normal person when else can you possibly wear one and not look utterly ridiculous?  However, there are some problems with this:
  1. The pouffy dresses I like are also simple (ie minimal amounts of lace or beads or sequins) and so far the only ones I've found that I like cost a minimum of $3400!  Way too much!
  2. Totally does not match my vision of my wedding.
  3. The Beau does not like pouffy dresses.
  4. I find them difficult to move around in, but that might be because all the ones I've tried on are way too big on me and have huge trains that I would have chopped off; so maybe this wouldn't actually be an issue.
Anyways, thoughts would be appreciated.  I've included some pictures of dresses I like as visual aids.

I love the Amy Kuschel, but you know what I really think? The B&B! We've got to be able to find it somewhere for less. It's the perfect marriage of poufy and goddess.
